Dudley TAGB assistant instructor, Mr Toré Lamont, has successfully completed his recent black belt grading, being promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt.
This weekend over 500 hopeful students from all over Britain travelled to the Hellidon Lake Hotel, Daventry, to complete their next black belt grading. The Hellidon Lake Hotel is the new venue for the TAGB Tae Kwon-Do black belt gradings, starting on Friday and wrapping up on Sunday. Nervous students gather, all ready to be promoted to their next black belt grade.
Mr Lamont travelled down to Daventry on Friday, ready to complete his 2nd Degree Black Belt following 2 hard years of training. However, COVID did not keep Mr Lamont down, as he has successfully achieved his 2nd Dan Black Belt! Toré has shown great perseverance throughout the various lockdowns; training online, outside and upon reopening 6 times a week!
Toré’s instructor, World Master Vince Farquharson commented; “Tore is a great example of how you prepare for a black belt grading. He trained regular, keeping up to date with the knowledge required for his grade. He has completed various courses for the TAGB, including the umpires course which allowed him to be eligible for his 2nd Degree. His dedication and commitment has not gone unnoticed.”
Toré will now continue a further 3 years of training ready for his next assessment and promotion. Congratulations Toré.
